After starting Acidophilus pills, how long does it take for them to take effect?

How long before my digestive system is regulated and I go to the bathroom regularly? The pills I am taking have over 2 billion bacteria in them and I take 1 per day. The brand is Sundown and it has 13Mg of Lactobacillus Acidophilus per pill. |

When I started taking the pills, it began working in about 2 days. I noticed difference in my bowels. They were solid rather than runny. In about 1 week I became "regular" using the bathroom once a day at a specific time (mornings).
I did double up on the pills taking one during lunch and one at night. You may want to try this as well. 1 month ago Report Abuse

According to this blog post, after 2 months it healed Crohns.
Since Activia has these same bacteria and they have the "two week challenge", I would say it is anywhere between 10-30 days before this bacteria works. I say 10 because supposedly by the end of 2 weeks (14 days) Activia is already regulating your digestive system. 1 month ago Report Abuse
