Give this a shot.
Firefox needs to hard-code itself to make this impossible. Unable to uninstall any addon without question I mean. 1 month ago Report Abuse |

Next to the "Disable" button in Tools/Add-Ons, there should be an "Uninstall" button. If this button is grayed out (such as is with AVG Safe Search), then you will need to uninstall the application that created it in Add/Remove Programs of Windows Control Panel (or however you uninstall in your operating system).
