Photoshop Tutorial: Create a smiley

Hey!

My friend uses lot's of smileys in MSN convos so I thought I'll create a tutorial about how to create a smiley in Photoshop.

1. Creating Background

First let's create our Photoshop document. I'll use size 25 x 25.



Now use "Elliptical Marquee Tool" to create something like this:



Now right click on your layer and select "Blending Options". When it's window is open set these settings:







2. Creating Face

This is the space where you can let your imagination fly. Mine flies like this. Create a new layer, grab "Elliptical Marquee Tool" again and draw something like that:



Now right click on your layer and open up "Blending Options" and set these settings:





Create a new layer and use "Elliptical Marquee Tool" to create things like that:



Now create another layer select again "Elliptical Marquee Tool" and select this area:



Now go to Edit -> Stroke and set these settings:



Now click on "E" on your keyboard and use "Eraser Tool" to remove excess color so your smiley would look like this:



3. Final Words
