Photoshop Tutorial: Creating An Avatar

Hey there!

Today I would like to show you how to make a simple Mac avatar.

1. Creating Background

First let's create our Photoshop document. I'll use size 170 x 180 (width x height).



Now fill your layer with any color you like, it doesn't matter. Then right click on your layer and select "Blending Options". If it's done set these settings:





Now it's time for apple logo. You can use this:



Now create something like this:



I used "Rectangular Marquee Tool" to create this stripe there. If it's done right click on your layer, select "Blending Options" and set these settings:







Now it should look like this:



Create a new layer and use "Rectangular Marquee Tool" to create something like this:



Now right click on your layer, select "Blending Options" and set these settings:





2. Final Words

And now you are done. You can customize it however you want. My outcome looks like this:
