Photoshop Tutorial: Rainbow Wallpaper

Hey there!

I was thinking I'll create a simple tutorial how to create a nice looking rainbow wallpaper.

1. Creating The Wallpaper.

First let's make a new Photoshop document. I'll use size 1600 x 1200. (width x height).

Press "D" to make sure you have black and white colors. Make sure your foreground color is white. If it's not press "D" and then press "X" on your keyboard then you will have it. Now fill your background.

Now go to Filter -> Render -> Fibers and set these settings:

Now go Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur and set these settings:

Now right click on your layer, select "Blending Options" and set this setting:

Now create a new layer and fill it with white. Now use "Rectangular Marquee Tool" and select half of document and delete it, like this:

Now change this layers opacity to 17%

2. Final Words

And now you are ready. You can customize your wallpaper however you want. My outcome looks like this:
