Photoshop Tutorial: Star Icon

Hello!

Today I'm going to show you how to create a star icon.

1. Creating Background

First we have to create a new Photoshop document. I'll use size 200 x 250 (width x height).



Now select "Custom Shape Tool".



If it's done, draw something like this:



When it's done right click on your layer, select "Blending Options" and set these settings:









Now create a new layer. Select first layer and go Select -> Load Selection and press OK. Now select your new layer and fill it with white color like this:



Now select "Elliptical Marquee Tool":



Now use this tool to remove excess white color. Select some area that you want to remove and press "Delete" to remove it. Mine looks like this:



Now change your white color layer's opacity to 30%.

2. Final Words

Now you are done. My outcome looks like this:
