Some cops are just corrupt, and they give other police officers a bad name when they do it.

OH YA they most definately do abuse the right of the badge!!! They drive the cruisers for personal business and they use the lights as a way of getting somewhere faster.... Not all do this but alot of them do!! Waste of the taxpayers money!!!! Hey Mr. President cut the crap at the top of the State police, city police and county police/sheriff offices..... leave the cars at work, stop paying for their personal gasoline and stop paying for the car they drive. OFFICIAL USE ONLY >>>> have you ever heard of it???

Agree! In an undergrad law class, my professor showed us how we, as students, are more informed about the law than police officers. To become a police officer, you learn little about the law. You only are taught how to act and protect in police academy. If the law was actually studied by police officers in academy, our rights would be better respected.

Yup, they do and with a lot more than just speeding.

If you're talking strictly speeding, then yes I agree. Cops always seem to be exceeding the speed limit.

Hell yea! They speed and do whatever they like. Drink and drive, wreck, etc. When they get pulled over they just talk to their police buddies and get out of trouble.

On some things, like Speeding, I agree but they do not abuse other things. There are many checks and balances in the system that would prevent them from abusing their power.

On top of that, the public is not shy to come forth about police brutality or anything else.

The public is shy about police corruption. Police are so intimidating, many are afraid to object against charges and can often not afford to in our over-priced judicial system. The court costs are outrageous, forcing us to accept our guilt.
