Taxes Punish those who Produce and Reward those who don't

100%
0%

Taxes are made in such a way that those who produce and are active members of the society are punished and those who don't are rewarded. Take, for example, the federal tax brackets (income = tax percent):
  • $0 - 8,350 = 10%
  • $8,350 - 33,950 = 15%
  • $33,950 - 82,250 = 25%
  • $82,250 - 171,550 = 28%
  • $171,550 - 372,950 = 33%
  • $372,950+ = 35%

Notice that the more one makes, the higher the person is taxed. Where do these taxes go? Among other things, the taxes support the ones who don't produce. These taxes come from the working class. The individuals that earn money and contribute

Take a look at who doesn't pay taxes and you'll understand what I mean:
  • Drug Dealers
  • The Disabled
  • Prisoners
  • Retired
  • Illegal Immigrants
  • Welfare people (IE: the lady down the street with 13 kids and has never had a job in her life or the Drug Dealers from above because they report no income).

The system we have in place is rewarding those that do not help themselves while the ones contributing are punished.

The Pregnant Freeloader
I know a girl that got pregnant so that the she could collect child support. Once the child was born, she began collecting (around $400 or so a month). Next she was able to qualify for poor housing (basically, a free roof) and applied for food stamps/welfare. She doesn't work. I do. She smokes pot all the time and does whatever she wants. I go to bed each night and wake up at the crack of dawn to go to work. She sleeps until 11:00 in the afternoon. She pays no taxes, I spend 25% of mine supporting her. This must stop.

Stop!
I believe the first step we should make to resolve this problem is to make it harder (if not impossible) for freeloaders to live off of those of us that work. I believe we should cut off their income. Next, we should educate the poor, force them to work or suffer (as nature intended, only the strong survive).

Prisoners
Put the prisoners back to work, the chain-gang is an excellent idea. Why can't they also do other menial tasks such as garbage collection and public service jobs? Send the Illegal Immigrants back. Create stiffer laws for drug-dealers, throw them in jail and make them work on the chain-gang cleaning up our streets.

We need limits on who can be tax exempt.

We need to put solid limits on how much people can claim, and for how long. China has the right idea, one kid per family, maybe two. There's really no reason to have kids at all, and having 13 kids means you need to really look up the word "Contraceptive".

Maybe we should have more tax breaks for people who work 40 hour weeks. Like you said, we bust our butts. Or better yet, opting out of having to fork out for someone else's welfare.

I agree with this, in every country (or at least the 2 I lived in) are just like this, the lazy ones live the good life and the others work their asses off so the govt. can take a share from their wage to support the non-working ones.

Instead those taxes should go to the kids or families of the ones that are actually working, because they deserve it, because they don't see their loved ones for at least 8 hours a day!

This is the reason I hate the policies of our current President and what the members of Congress are trying to push through. They want equality for everyone but real life doesn't work that way. Not everyone is willing to work to move forward in life and I sure don't want my taxes supporting them.

Yes. And when people raise taxes on the producers, they act surprised that they *gasp* start producing less!

I agree. It seems like the more I work for money the more is taken while others sit around watching TV all day... leading a better life than myself.
